Inspirakits was born in the imagination of a woman who her kids and their friends called "Teacher Pat".
Growing up, our founder Pam didn't just have a mom, she had an educator, a creator, and a spark-lighter. Teacher Pat homeschooled her children and cared for the neighborhood kids too, and she had a secret weapon: the Genius Kit. A collection of craft supplies carefully chosen to inspire open-ended creativity, every kit was different. Sometimes it was popsicle sticks. Sometimes magnets, or beads, or building materials. The only rule was that you couldn't share your idea with anyone else until everyone was finished, and then came the show and tell, where every single child walked away with a prize. Best use of red. Most creative. Tallest. Every child a winner in their own right.
Kids who came over to be babysat would ask for a Genius Kit before they even got their coats off. Parents told Teacher Pat that their children chose her home over other daycare options, not for the snacks or the TV, but for the genius kits.
That legacy lives in every Inspirakits product we make. Each kit is designed to spark curiosity, encourage independent thinking, and celebrate the unique imagination every child brings to the table. And every kit is handmade with care by our sibling company, Kitworks3PL, right here in Klamath Falls, Oregon, where we're building not just great products, but good jobs and a community we're proud of.
Teacher Pat would have loved this. We're building it for her, and for every curious kid who deserves a Genius Kit of their own.
